Wilhelm Kienzle, Swiss interior architect and furniture designer, designed the modular shelving system in the 1930s, creating a new type of furniture. The bookcase was shipped in pieces and the customer assembled it himself at home - a novelty in the 1930s. Looking back, Wilhelm Kienzle's collapsible shelf can be seen as one of the most popular pieces of furniture from the Swiss Modernist period. Particularly great; The shelf is plugged in and can therefore be mounted without screws. This shelf features solid wood shelves and is in good vintage condition with signs of wear (light stains on the sliding doors).
