Check dimensions:Do the height and width fit into the intended space?

Inspect material & condition:Is the wood well-maintained, is the mechanism intact, or is there a patina that should be preserved?

• Wood:Occasionally treat with special wood oil to prevent cracks and enhance the grain.
• Interior cleaning:Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and air drawers and compartments regularly.
• Handles & fittings:Clean brass or metal with polish or deliberately preserve the aging.
• Sliding doors & hinges:Lightly oil to ensure smooth opening and closing.
