After completing his architecture studies, Verner Panton worked for two years in Arne Jacobsen's architectural office before founding his own architecture and design studio in 1955. At the end of the 1950s, the Dane was already thinking about a cantilever chair made from just one piece of material during a furniture competition. The first design sketches for the Panton Chair were made in 1959 - it would be another eight years before Panton developed the chair with its unmistakable, expressive shape to series production with Vitra. It made design history: the Panton Chair was the first solid plastic chair made from a single piece. Panton's preference for strong colors and organic shapes can be clearly seen in it. The chair, which has won design awards around the world and is exhibited in numerous collections of important museums, offers good seating comfort thanks to its ergonomic shape and slightly flexible material. These models in white are in good to very good condition. The price is per piece.
