To mark the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus, Thonet released a limited anniversary edition of the S 533F. The chair was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, who influenced many generations of modern architecture and design history with his “less is more” approach. With this design, he once again demonstrates his ability to combine technology and aesthetics, giving the cantilever chair an elegant lightness, inspired by Mart Stam's cantilever chair principle. For the anniversary edition, the Hamburg design duo Besau Marguerre developed two new variants: another in champagne chrome with Leather in soft pink and one with pearl chrome and anthracite-colored leather. The armchair offered is the latter variant and is in new condition.
