After the Swiss carpentry company Röthlisberger had produced sophisticated furniture for the Knoll company for years, it suddenly had to reorient itself because production was relocated abroad for cost reasons. So Röthlisberger implemented the idea of its own collection with well-known Swiss designers. In 1977, the first edition was created with various well-known Swiss designers such as Hans Eichenberger, Ulrich P. Wieser and Robert and Trix Haussmann. The pallet shelf, also known as the kidney shelf, was designed by Trix and Robert Haussmann in 1982. It presents itself from different angles in new perspectives and gives a surprising impression. Viewed from above, the shelves stacked on top of each other form a circle with a diameter of approx. 75 cm. This shelf was an exhibition model and is therefore in very good condition with slight signs of wear.
