After the Swiss carpentry company Röthlisberger had produced sophisticated furniture for the Knoll company for years, it suddenly had to reorient itself because production was relocated abroad for cost reasons. So Röthlisberger implemented the idea of its own collection with well-known Swiss designers. The first edition was created in 1977 with various well-known Swiss designers such as Hans Eichenberger, Ulrich P. Wieser and Robert and Trix Haussmann. The latter designed the roller shutter desk for this first collection. The traditional desk is a practical and aesthetic piece of furniture that can be transformed into a workstation in no time at all. The solid wood bars of the roller shutter are individually worked by hand. The desk is in good condition with slight signs of wear.
