It was almost 150 years ago that Horgenglarus was founded in Horgen near Zurich - today it is the oldest chair and table manufacturer in Switzerland. Over the years, the durability and quality of their furniture has encouraged many well-known Swiss designers to work with the company, such as Hans Bellmann, Werner Max Moser and Max Ernst Haefeli. The latter designed the Haefeli 1-793 chair, which he designed in 1926. Unlike other designers, Haefeli did not seek to break with tradition, but created furniture that seemed familiar. The timeless chair with leather seat is in very good condition with slight signs of wear. With a seat height of 38.5cm, the chair is slightly lower and is therefore very suitable as a child's chair.
