The vintage carpet Kelim Old 301x294cm dates back to ancient times and was mostly woven for private use by their makers - some of them were even sold in bazaars throughout Iran. They were often used as floor coverings or to cover and decorate tents and houses inside and out, as protection for animals such as horses, donkeys or camels and for transporting household items. These vintage kilims have been carefully treated and refurbished so that they are now given a second life in new homes. Pile height approx. 5cm
