Italy 1970s A rare set of 2 impressive Hollywood Regency table lamps by Tommaso Barbi, handcrafted from glossy brown ceramic and white Murano frosted glass. The square base of the lamp features a finely handcrafted row of Murano glass buttons, punctuated by small brass strips at the corners. This row of glossy Murano glass is framed by a brown shimmering marble-look ceramic, very typical of Italian design. The ceramic base rounds out towards the top and ends in a wonderfully bulbous Murano frosted glass. The finish is completed by a round plate made of golden brass. All in all a stunning and very harmonious composition of 3 different materials. The lamps produce a beautiful warm light and are therefore the perfect eye-catcher for a stylish mid-century modern home! Original label and brand on the inside of the base. There is a small chip on one corner of one lamp, as seen in the photos. Place of origin: Italy Period: 1970 – 1979 Date of manufacture: approx. 1970
