Seller's description
The world-famous designer couple Charles and Ray Eames designed the Soft Pad Chaise ES 106 in 1968 for their long-time friend Billy Wilder. The chaise was specially developed for the director, who wanted a comfortable place to rest during breaks in filming. The model on offer was made by the Italian furniture manufacturer ICF for Herman Miller. Compared to the new Vitra chaise, the cushions on this chaise are softer. The chaise is completely black, which is not available from Vitra. It is in good vintage condition.
