Hans J. Wegner is one of the most important Danish designers of the 20th century. He became particularly famous for his seating furniture; He designed more than 500 different models, most of the designs were purely wooden chairs. In 1953 he designed the GE290 armchair for Getama, which is also called "The Plank Chair". This consists of a solid oak frame and blue seat cushions. The armchair has been professionally reupholstered and is in very good condition with signs of wear on the armrests. Matching the GE290 armchair, we also offer the GE290 armchair as a high-back chair and the GE290 3-seater sofa.
