The brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni became known for surprising new combinations of existing products and are among the most important designers of the Italian post-war period thanks to their simple, functional designs. The Taccia lamp was designed by the brothers in 1962 for Flos and its indirect, reflective lighting creates a cozy mood light. The light source is located in the base of the lamp and shines the light onto the white reflector plate, which then distributes the light. The adjustable, hand-blown glass bowl allows the light to be directed in the desired direction. The lamp is in very good condition.
