Seller's description
Italy 1970s.
Stunning brown wooden dining table TL58 and 6 chairs SD57 made by famous Italian designer Marco Zanuso for Poggi.
Discover a masterpiece of mid-century modern design with this exquisite dining room set by Marco Zanuso. The TL58 dining table is made of walnut wood. This table features a sleek and elegant silhouette with a beautifully glossy walnut tabletop. The clean lines and minimalist design of the table make it a timeless addition to any dining area. Above all, the architectural double X legs emphasize the pure and strong lines of the design. The six SD57 chairs also stand out with their exceptionally sculptural shape and the glossy lacquered finish of the wooden elements. The chair legs have the same X shape as the table legs. Their seats are upholstered in the original black leather. The dimensions of the chairs are:
90 cm H x 38 cm W x 50 cm D (33 cm seat depth).
Marco Zanuso (born May 14, 1916 in Milan, Italy – died July 11, 2001 in Milan, Italy) was a leading Italian modernist designer and architect of the Mid-Century Modern era. His work encompasses a wide range of furniture designs, industrial designs and also architectural projects. It was the shape of the pieces that really interested and inspired him. During his professional career, Marco Zanuso was recognized by the Triennale di Milano in five different exhibitions and he received the Medaglia d'oro and five Compassi d'oro between 1956 and 1985. Some of his works can also be found in the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art, MoMA.
