The Altorfer garden chair, also known as the "Spaghetti chair", is one of the most famous Swiss design classics in the field of garden furniture. It was designed in 1948 by Huldreich Altorfer, son of the then director of the traditional Swiss company Embru. The design, which has remained unchanged to this day, was awarded the "Gute Form" award by Max Bill in 1964. The tubular frame is manufactured in the Zurich Oberland, hot-dip galvanized and then hand-stretched with the different colored plastic cords in an integration workshop. These are vintage models 1141, which, in contrast to the newer versions, have straight armrests and wider footrests. The chairs are in good vintage condition with signs of wear. The price is for the set of four.
