The design of this multifunctional table was created by the Parisian entrepreneur Georg Albert Ulysse Caruelle, who designed the classic in the 1930s. The patent for production was acquired by the traditional Swiss company Embru. As simple as the construction may look: According to the manufacturer, the Caruelle table with its pivoting table top can be used in over 100 ways, for example as a side table, a base for a book or a tablet, as a small standing desk, music stand or games board. The pivoting shelf can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically or can be removed as a serving tray. The wooden border prevents products lying on it from falling off. The smaller plate can be used to extend the storage area - if it is not needed, it can simply be pushed under the large plate. The base, which can be extended like a telescope, offers additional stability. The maple table on offer is in very good condition.
