The OFURO bathtub from MAOMI is inspired by traditional Japanese bathing culture. "OFURO" means "private bath" and stands for a ritual of relaxation and cleansing. Made from high-quality cedar wood, whose essential oils have a harmonizing and calming effect on body and mind, this bathtub offers a unique bathing experience.
The soft wood is carefully shaped by hand, fitted together precisely and compacted using only natural materials. Finally, the tub is sanded by our carpenter, which takes a lot of time. The wood is clamped in three elegant bands made of stainless steel, which not only ensure stability, but also add an aesthetic touch.
With a base area of 102 x 71 cm (Classic) or 132 x 72 cm (Long) and a height of 77 cm, the OFURO is space-saving yet spacious. The capacity is 200 liters and the discharge rate is 50 liters per minute. Thanks to its low weight of around 50 kg, the bathtub is easy to move and can be used flexibly - whether in the bathroom, on the terrace or in the garden.
