This unique table lamp, designed in the 1970s by Livio Castiglioni and Gianfranco Frattini for the Artemide label, immediately went down in the history of Italian and international design.
The Boalum table or floor lamp is made of white plastic with resin and plastic end pieces. Thanks to its flexibility, which makes it unique in its shape, it can be placed on the floor or on a table. The Boalum lamp was produced from 1970 to 1983 and was slightly modified in 1999. This piece is from a more recent production due to its materials and structure. Domus - the leading Italian design magazine - described the Boalum lamp as a snake of endless light. The Boalum lamp is part of numerous collections of design museums, for example the Museum of Modern Art in Philadelphia or the Museum of Italian Design in Milan.
