The Danish architect and designer Verner Panton was commissioned by his father, the manager of the restaurant "Kom Igen", to design an extension and to completely redesign the interior. He not only designed the extension but also designed all aspects of the interior, including textiles, carpets, lighting, furniture, uniforms for the service staff and menus. He created a completely new space based on geometric shapes and the exclusive use of five different shades of red. The reopening of the restaurant quickly became known in the region and throughout Denmark and led to a huge rush. As part of this project, Panton also designed the "Cone Chair", a chair with a conical body that stands on its tip. This is a Vitra model with a blue Tonus wool cover. The chair is in good condition with slight signs of wear.
