In 1922, Rudolf Lehni Senior founded the Lehni company, which at the time was still a plumbing company. The decisive impetus for the production of furniture came from the meeting between his son Rudolf Lehni and Andreas Christen at the Zurich School of Applied Arts: In 1964, the duo produced the aluminum bookcase for the Expo in Lausanne. Since then, the renowned Swiss company has produced furniture with a clear design language, designed by various designers. The reduced-form, simple Lehni cabinet, also designed by Andreas Christen, consists of a colorless anodized aluminum body with a round doorknob. This is a version with four black shelves. The cabinet is in good used condition.
