\nWilhelm Kienzle, Swiss interior architect and furniture designer, designed the modular shelving system in the 1930s and thereby created a new type of furniture. The bookcase was shipped in individual parts and the customer assembled it at home themselves - a novelty in the 1930s. Looking back, Wilhelm Kienzle's collapsible shelf can be considered one of the most popular pieces of furniture from the Swiss modern era. What's particularly great is that the shelf is plugged together and can therefore be assembled without screws. The Kienzle shelf on offer has dark solid beech shelves and is in good condition.
