for Auping, Netherlands 1960s A very elegant daybed designed by Dick Cordemeijer and manufactured by Auping in the Netherlands in the 60s. This daybed - called Cleopatra - has a black metal frame and feet. At the top and at the end are two beautiful frames made of teak. The mattress has been reupholstered with black imitation leather. Another 3 square cushions, also with new covers, are part of this set. This bed came onto the market in 1954 and was immediately a great success. This popular bed was simply modernist, functional and durable. Even after 50 years, these beds are sturdy and do not squeak. The Cleopatra daybed is the perfect piece for any stylish home.
