The French architect and furniture designer Charlotte Perriand, together with Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret, designed a series of furniture from 1927 onwards that stand for classic modern furniture design like no other. Initially produced under license by various manufacturers, the rights to the designs of the LC series have belonged to the Italian furniture manufacturer Cassina since 1965 - including the LC4 lounger from 1928. With this design, the three wanted to put people at the center of a piece of furniture and a Create a lounger whose form and function promote relaxation. The result is the simple, elegant chaise longue. This example with a chrome-plated frame is provided with a brown fur cover. Nice detail; The fur is not a support, but is fixed around the frame like a corset. The lounger was made by Embru and dates from the 1940s. It is in good vintage condition with signs of wear.
