The history of modern furniture began with him. The famous coffee house chair is an icon and is still considered one of the most successful industrial products in the world. In the 1850s, Michael Thonet perfected a new technique that made it possible to bend solid wood. This meant the chair could go into series production. The chair consists of only six parts and has been shipped in boxes all over the world since its invention. These chairs are in very good condition with slight signs of wear.
