Marcel Breuer designed the cantilever chair with its characteristic, traditional Viennese wickerwork on the seat and backrest, which contrasts with the modern-looking tubular steel, in 1928 for the German manufacturer Thonet. The company still produces it today under the name S64. Before the American company Knoll International added it to its range, it was the Italian entrepreneur Dino Gavina to whom Breuer sold the rights to certain designs. However, after less than a decade, Gavina had to sell his company due to economic difficulties. It was Knoll International that acquired the bankrupt company in 1968 - including the rights to Marcel Breuer's Cesca, Wassily and Laccio chairs and tables. These models with black wooden frames were produced under Thonet and are in good condition with gray-colored wickerwork. The price is for the set of four.
