"I told Eero that I was tired of the one-dimensional lounge chair... long and narrow. "I want a chair that I can sit in sideways or any other way," said Florence Knoll about her wish in 1946. In response, her friend and colleague Eero Saarinen created the Womb Chair - an extremely beautiful and exceptionally comfortable design. It was also given its affectionate name "Womb" because of its organic shape and the liberating comfort it offered. The chair was originally introduced as Model 70, later its nickname "Womb" was officially adopted. A beautifully designed chair that allows a variety of sitting positions and, thanks to its basket-like shape, offers a cozy retreat for relaxed reading hours. This is the Relax version, which offers particularly soft upholstery. The chair, offered in its original size, is upholstered in Knoll Velvet fabric in the color Ebony (black) and is in very good condition.
