Seller's description
Cini Boeri, Italian architect and industrial designer, was a leading female figure of Italian modernism. As one of the few women in her class, she graduated from the Politecnico di Milano and went on to work on several projects with the architect Marco Zanuso. From the 1960s she worked as a designer for the Italian design company Gavina. However, after less than a decade, Gavina had to sell his company due to economic difficulties. It was Knoll International that acquired the bankrupt company in 1968 - and included several of Cini Boeri's designs in the Knoll portfolio. Among them was the Lunario table series, an elegant, cantilevered collection of tables made of glass and steel. This coffee table is in good vintage condition with slight signs of wear.
