“The symbol of a new era in which plastic took centre stage.” This is how the Plia chair was presented at the Fiera del Mobile in Milan in 1967. Designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli, Italy.
Made from a chrome-plated steel frame, the seat and backrest are made of transparent, smoke-colored ABS plastic.
Fully functional and in good vintage condition, but with visible signs of age, mainly on the plastic, which has visible surface scratches throughout. No cracks in the plastic and the folding mechanism works perfectly.

PACKAGING
All of our items are thoroughly cleaned and carefully packaged for shipping.
It is very important to us that the packaging is of the same high quality standard as the item purchased. Depending on the fragility of the item, packaging may be in a 5 or 7 layer cardboard box or wooden crate. Larger items may need to be shipped in boxes with pallets. We create bespoke packaging to avoid unnecessary packaging waste and filler. We only use recyclable materials.
