Inspired by Pop Art and their firm belief that pieces of furniture can also function as a kind of adult toy, designers D'Urbino, de Pas and Lomazzi have created the "Joe" armchair. The imposing armchair in the shape of a giant baseball glove is characterized by its over-dimensioning, which creates a characteristic, unconventional and ironic design. Like a gloved hand, the armchair embraces the body of the person sitting on it. The name of the piece of furniture is a tribute to the legendary American baseball star Joe DiMaggio. A well-thought-out detail is that the armchair stands on invisible wheels. This vintage armchair dates from the 1980s. The previous owner had the armchair professionally reupholstered with natural leather by a specialist dealer. It is in very good condition.
