In 1922, Rudolf Lehni senior founded the Lehni company, which at that time was still operating as a building plumber. The decisive impetus for the production of furniture came from the meeting between his son Rudolf Lehni and Andreas Christen at the Zurich School of Arts and Crafts: the twosome made the aluminum bookcase for the Expo in Lausanne in 1964. Since then, the renowned Swiss company has been producing furniture in a clear design language, designed by various designers. The classic Lehni table is a design by the Zurich architect and designer Georg Gisel. This is a model with a white metal frame, the table top can be used on both sides; optionally in pink or pistache. The table is in very good condition.
